WhatsApp is now allowing users to pin discussions within one-on-one and group conversations. According to the firm, users can pin any type of discussion, including text, polls, photographs, and emoticons. Users, however, can only pin one chat at a time.

You can pin a discussion by long-pressing on a conversation and selecting "Pin" from the menu, according to the Meta-owned messaging software. You can choose between 24 hours, 7 days (the default), and 30 days.

This is especially beneficial if you are visiting a friend for the first time; they can pin their address to the top of the chat for easy access. It can be specific information about an event or a location to access rules for groups. According to the company, admins in groups can choose whether only admins or any member can pin a message.

Telegram and iMessage, WhatsApp's competitors, already provide a pin message option for users in both individual and group chats. It is unclear whether WhatsApp intends to expand the pinned messages feature to Channels as well.

WhatsApp introduced the ability to transmit disappearing audio messages that could only be viewed once by the recipient last week.
