WhatsApp said on Thursday that users may now pin up to three messages in a chat to make them easily accessible. Up until now, users could only pin one message to the top of a conversation with a contact or group.

Both Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart revealed the functionality on their own WhatsApp channels. Last December, the chat app introduced the option to pin messages in both individual and group discussions.

Users may pin any form of message, including text, photographs, and polls. Pinned messages may be quite beneficial for rapidly retrieving information such as a friend's address or the location of an excursion scheduled with your group.

To pin a message, long press on it and then pick "Pin" from the venue. You may also specify how long the message should remain pinned – 24 hours, 7 days (the default), or 30 days. This allows you to delete pinned messages if the information becomes irrelevant on certain days.

However, there is no ability to keep a message or address pinned indefinitely. So you'd have to re-pin that message after 30 days. The only alternative is to "Star" a message and then retrieve it from the contact information menu.
