WhatsApp will use Google’s Data Restore Tool to transfer chats from iOS to Android

Google's Data Restore Tool may soon allow users to transfer their WhatsApp chats from iOS to Android devices.

So far, there was no easy way for users to transfer their WhatsApp messages from iPhone to Android. However, this is about to change, as the Data Restore Tool will soon be able to transfer WhatsApp chats and history from iOS to Android. Currently, the feature isn’t available because WhatsApp must first start the necessary migration settings.

When WhatsApp makes the needed changes to start transferring WhatsApp conversations between iOS and Android using the tool, follow these steps from the app:

Transfer WhatsApp Chats > Scan the QR code with your iPhone to open WhatsApp > Start > Keep your iPhone unlocked and WhatsApp open.
