Apple has announced the release of a new service program that addresses a sound issue that has arisen on some iPhone 12 and 12 Pro devices.

According to Apple, a small percentage of iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models may experience sound problems due to a component that may fail on the receiver module. These devices have been manufactured from October 2020 until April 2021.

Owners of iPhone 12 and 12 Pro may be eligible for free service if they notice that their device does not emit sound from the receiver when making or receiving phone calls. Therefore, they should make an appointment at an Apple Store or find an authorized service provider.

However, the company emphasizes that if there are other damages on the devices, such as a cracked screen, then they will have to repair them to receive free service announced.

It should be mentioned that iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max models are not affected and are not part of the service program.
