Apple announces Tap to Pay on iPhone

Apple has officially announced its plans for the Tap to Pay on iPhone feature, which will enable millions of businesses in the US to use the iPhone to accept contactless payment by debit / credit card and other one-touch digital payment services. without the need to use another separate terminal device.

Tap to Pay on iPhone will initially be available through the Stripe platform, while more payment platforms and applications will be added later this year. Once the feature is available, businesses will be able to accept payments through compatible iOS apps using iPhone XS or later. During the payment, the seller will offer his iPhone to accept the contactless payment from the customer's iPhone or Apple Watch. The transaction is secured via NFC and is fully encrypted so that Apple itself does not know who is making the purchase and what the product is.

The Tap to Pay on iPhone feature will be supported for contactless payments with American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Discover debit or credit cards.
