Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed a few days ago that Apple may soon offer a new iCloud event invitation function named "Apple Invites." According to reports, Apple internally dubbed this new feature "Confetti" and stated it would provide a "new way to invite people to parties, functions, and meetings." Now, Apple has revealed the new feature and launched a dedicated Apple Invites app on the App Store.
It is viewed as a fresh approach to updating the calendar app. Apple's online storage offering, iCloud+, starts at $0.99 per month. iCloud+ offers a variety of benefits, including iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, and HomeKit Secure Video compatibility, in addition to all of the storage for your data.
Apple Invites can be accessed through the iCloud website or by downloading an app from the App Store for iPhones and iPads. According to the official iCloud.com/invites website, the function allows users to "create unique invitations for life's most exciting moments."
Furthermore, users will be able to construct an invitation card with their own backdrop photos and add details like Apple Music, Photos, Maps, and more. iCloud+ subscribers will have access to the service without any adverts or limitations.
Notably, the app includes Apple Intelligence's "Image Playground" feature, which allows users to submit a word prompt to create graphics for their invitations. Users will also have access to other Apple Intelligence services, like as "Writing Tools," to help them create interesting invite letters.
An event can include up to 100 members, and a user can host an unlimited number of events. Furthermore, Apple Invites can be added using either the app or the web, and an Apple account or device is not required.
