According to an update on Epic Games' official website, the popular battle-royale game Fortnite will shut down its Chinese version on November 15th of this year. The company didn't provide a specific reason for why it was shutting down Fortnite in China but there is speculation that it has something to do with China’s new gaming restriction for kids.

Fortnite was released in China during Season 5 in April 2018, allowing Chinese gamers to install and legally play the famous online multiplayer game. According to the Fortnite Wiki, there were some changes in the Chinese version of the game. For example, Chinese law prevents the depiction of skulls, changing the appearance of a number of skull-related cosmetic items.

It should be mentioned that Users were prevented from registering for new accounts starting November 1st and from November 15th it won’t be possible to users to log in to Fortnite.
