It's quite common these days to create Android family accounts so that all family members can benefit from shared shopping and the various benefits offered by Google, but also because it's significantly easier to use parental controls both for the safety of children and and to protect the wallet.

Especially for the latter, parents should know that the Google Play store offers the possibility to set up a single way of making purchases for the whole family, so that each member can operate independently on the device they use but a common account is charged . Of course, parents can set limits, accept or reject any transaction, as well as see the entire history of such movements.

Google, however, is constantly looking for new ways to strengthen family accounts, and that's why it's announcing a new feature called Purchase Requests. This feature is aimed at those who have not set up a payment method and essentially, children will be able to send purchase requests for apps and in-app content that the parent (or family account manager) will see to give their approval.

If the approval is not given, it is understood that the purchase will not proceed, while if the request is accepted, the manager can complete the transaction himself. All transactions and requests, whether accepted or not, will normally appear in the Order History of the family account.
