Google has officially confirmed that its next major hardware event, Made by Google 2025, will take place on August 20 in New York City. The company recently sent out invitations for the keynote, ending speculation and cementing the launch date for the highly anticipated Pixel 10 lineup. As in past years, the event will be streamed live online, allowing fans around the world to witness firsthand the unveiling of Google’s latest devices and innovations.

The Pixel 10 series is expected to headline the event, accompanied by the usual wave of announcements surrounding Google’s AI-driven software updates. These updates are likely to introduce exclusive features that will further differentiate Pixel devices from competitors, continuing Google’s strategy of integrating AI capabilities tightly with its in-house hardware.

However, for loyal Pixel followers, the official unveiling may feel more like a formality. Consistent with previous years, much of the Pixel 10’s design and specifications have already leaked ahead of the launch. From detailed renders to in-depth breakdowns of expected features, most of what Google is set to announce is already widely known in tech circles. This year is no different, and anticipation is high for Google to confirm what enthusiasts and analysts already suspect.

One of the more notable developments ahead of the launch is Google’s own quiet reveal. The Pixel 10 Pro has made an early appearance on the Google Store, with a promotional video offering a first glimpse at the upcoming model. The video shows the number “10” transforming into the Pixel 10 Pro, highlighting the device’s signature design element—the horizontal camera bar that has become synonymous with recent Pixel releases.

This design will house a triple-lens system, staying true to the “Pro” designation. One standout detail is the new color option seen in the video. According to 9to5Google, the color shown is likely called “Moonstone,” marking a fresh addition to Google’s palette. It’s expected that the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL variant will be available in the same color as well.

In terms of aesthetics, the Pixel 10 Pro maintains many of the design cues from the Pixel 9 Pro. The phone retains flat sides with subtly curved edges, and the glass back still bears the familiar “G” logo beneath the elevated camera module. While the video doesn’t reveal the front of the phone, the upcoming models are expected to feature edge-to-edge displays with center-aligned hole-punch cameras and minimal bezels.

Alongside the teaser, Google is also promoting an exclusive offer tied to the Pixel 10 launch. Visitors to the Google Store are encouraged to sign up for email updates ahead of the event, with the promise of receiving a promotional code on August 20. Although details of the offer remain undisclosed, Google confirms that it is intended for new subscribers only.

The fine print provides more insight: the promo code will be delivered on the day of the event and must be redeemed by September 4, 2025. Eligible customers must check out using their Google Account and a Google Pay profile with a valid payment method. The offer is limited to one per customer and is restricted to the purchase of the specific Pixel 10 model highlighted in the promotion. It cannot be applied to other devices, services, or Google merchandise.

The Pixel 10 family will reportedly include four models: the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a foldable version dubbed Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While it’s still unclear which of these models the promotional code will cover, it’s reasonable to expect that more details will be provided once the event concludes and registration links go live.

Beyond discounts, buyers of the new Pixel devices may also receive added software perks. Google has shown a willingness to include AI-related incentives with its hardware in the past. For example, purchasers of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 received six months of complimentary access to Gemini AI Pro, Google’s premium AI service, which typically costs $20 per month. It wouldn’t be surprising if Google replicates that strategy for its own flagship phones.

With less than a month to go, expectations for the Pixel 10 lineup continue to build. Between the design refinements, expanded model options, and AI-driven software enhancements, Google is positioning its next generation of smartphones as a key player in the increasingly competitive mobile market. All eyes will be on New York this August to see how the Pixel 10 series measures up.
