Huawei will become the world's first company to begin selling a tri-folding phone next month. Huawei CEO, Richard Yu, has been seen holding the device in both unfolded and folded versions, even on an airplane. It is now known that the device will be available next month.

This confirmation came directly from Huawei CEO, Richard Yu. And if he is the one to confirm the launch announcement, it doesn't get any more official than that. Huawei's CEO announced the unveiling of the world's first tri-folding phone during the Stelato S9 delivery event.

Notably, the Stelato S9 is an electric vehicle driven by Huawei's HarmonyOS software. During the event, when questioned about the future phone, Yu replied without hesitation, "Next month." However, next month's launch is almost going to be limited to the Chinese market. The device may not be available in other regions of the world, and it may remain unique to China.

The phone will be a first-generation tri-folding phone, and it appears to be somewhat expensive. According to earlier reports, the phone appears to be quite tiny when folded, making it easily comparable to many foldables on the market today that have a single folding display.

While the device's name remains unknown, Huawei's future phone was spotted with a large camera bulge on the back. When fully extended, the phone is said to have a 10-inch display.

Earlier, it was speculated that the phone will be powered by HiSilicon's Kirin 9 series processor, which was slated to launch with the Huawei Mate 70 series. With the release of the world's first tri-folding phone, Huawei will have a significant advantage over competitors such as Samsung. It will be intriguing to see what software tricks Huawei has planned for their future unique phone.
