Instagram opens the ability to tag products in posts to all users without requiring a professional account. It starts today in the US and in the coming months we will see it worldwide. In this way, Instagram is transformed into an application where everything can be purchased and now you can even do it from your friends' photos.

Product tagging was added in 2016 as part of Instagram's expansion into e-commerce, and later product tags were added to both videos and stories. As the project progressed, the platform incorporated its own purchasing system so that you could purchase directly from the tags on the posts of influencers, who also earned some commission from the companies.

At this stage, Instagram records weekly product tags in the posts of approximately 1.6 million users. With the universal opening of the operation to almost 2 billion users worldwide, it is easy to imagine that it will be transformed into a universal marketplace where every user will have the opportunity to become an influencer.
