LG introduced the world's first high-resolution flexible display, which has the ability to expand, fold and rotate without any image distortion or panel damage.

The new stretchable screen is the industry's first with 20% elasticity, 100ppi resolution and full RGB color support. In addition, its high flexibility, durability and reliability allow its use in commercial applications.

Its construction is based on a very durable thin substrate made of a special form of silicon used in contact lenses. It is 12'' in size and can be extended up to 14'', while its free-form character goes beyond the limits of today's flexible and wrap technologies.

In addition, the stretchable screen uses micro LEDs as a light source that ensures high resistance to critical external stimuli, while its resolution rivals that of most conventional monitors. Unlike linear wiring systems, the stretchable display features S-shaped circuits that still provide electricity despite any folding, wrapping or stretching.

Potential applications of use are on curved surfaces such as leather, clothing, furniture, automobiles, and airplanes, therefore, it can exhibit unique capabilities in various industries including fashion, wearables, gaming, and mobility.
