Meta is making a major change to the mobile versions of Facebook, which confirms the return to the original operating model of the social network which was nothing more than seeing what your friends share and the Groups or Pages you follow.

As revealed by Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook application on Android and iOS devices will acquire a new tab called Feeds and through it you will see in correct chronological order the posts of friends, the Groups you participate in and the Pages you follow, without suggestions from the Facebook algorithm are inserted. However, sponsored content will still appear from time to time.

In addition to the Feeds tab, Meta is renaming the home page that users see when they open the app to “Home,” which will still display the content we've been used to for the past few years. It is possible that there will be overlap between what you see in Feeds and Home, but at least Feeds will give you the ability to configure it as you wish to see what really interests you.

Already a number of Facebook users on Android and iOS devices see the Feeds tab at the bottom, but the general worldwide rollout is expected to be completed next week.
