The Meta Verified program is launching in New Zealand and Australia for the web and iOS versions of Facebook and Instagram, at a cost of $11.99/month and $14.99 respectively, offering subscribers the ability to officially authenticate their accounts with the famous blue tick, as long as they have provided their official ID on the two apps.

In addition to the blue tick, the Meta Verified package offers protection from do-gooders who want to create similar accounts, direct access to customer service, exclusive stickers for Stories and Reels, 100 free Stars (the digital tip for content creators) every month, and enhanced visibility and reach.

So far it is not specified whether you will lose the blue tick in case you don't renew your subscription, nor when the launch will also be for Android devices. In the coming months, however, it will be extended to more countries.
