Nintendo offers free Joy-Cons drift repair to all Europe

Nintendo is seeing the popularity of the Nintendo Switch exceed expectations and achieve incredible sales, despite the fact that the technical capabilities of the portable gaming console are obviously more limited compared to its competitors. Still, the public embraced the company's effort after the failed Wii U and proved once again that you don't have to tread on perfection to win over consumers.

The only serious issue in the Nintendo Switch's posterity is the one that occurs with the majority of Joy-Cons remotes, with the sticks drifting, as they are known, in gaming "slang" (i.e. giving a motion command without even touching the stick). Nintendo acknowledged the problem in time, but admitted there's no way to fix it now in mass production of the Nintendo Switch. However, today we got some good news that is of interest to every Nintendo Switch owner in Cyprus as well.

Specifically, Nintendo's official UK support website states that Joy-Cons will be offered free repair not only in the UK, but also in all Eurozone countries through the company's authorized partners. The best part? The free repair will also cover all devices that are beyond the two years of the original warranty! Practically every Nintendo Switch in Europe can pass for free service of Joy-Cons!

There are, of course, some exceptions set by Nintendo. The most serious of all is for those who attempted to open the Joy-Cons themselves or turned to unauthorized repair centers to solve the drifting problem. In this case, the free repair does not apply...
