Opera is pleased to announce the extension of the free VPN service of Opera Browser to Apple's iOS devices. With the latest addition, Opera browser becomes the first major market player to offer a free, built-in VPN service on all major platforms (Mac, Windows, Android, Android, Linux, iOS).

The version of Opera browser's free VPN service for iOS devices to be in the early access stage at this stage, with a wider launch expected in the coming weeks. To see if you've been selected in this early phase, all you need to do is download the Opera browser on your iPhone, tap on the burger menu at the bottom right and check the web browser's Settings menu.

The company explains on its official blog that online risks have multiplied in recent years, especially since most things are now done from wherever the user is via their smartphone. Hackers are lurking to identify security holes that leave exposed sensitive user data such as passwords, credit card numbers, addresses, browsing history, etc.

By activating the free VPN service in Opera browser, the user protects his privacy and in fact the company stresses that there is absolutely no recording of his activity, the data is encrypted and there is never any disclosure of the user's original IP address. Everything is done anonymously, securely and quickly through 300+ separate servers in 30+ scattered locations around the world.
