Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced at this year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 event its next generation of professional displays with AI-powered solutions.
Samsung's Color e-paper offers energy efficiency, while AI features in both the SmartThings Pro platform and the new WAFX -P interactive display contribute to the efficiency, control and usability of business-focused displays. In addition, the 115" oversized Smart Signage display brings to life a new level of immersive graphics.
"For professional displays, it is important to meet the market demand for energy efficiency and simple device management while satisfying the audience's desire for immersive experiences," said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. "Our latest innovations, including Samsung's near-zero power consumption color e-paper and the advanced AI capabilities offered by all models, demonstrate our commitment to pioneering new markets and delivering business solutions globally."
Samsung's Color e-paper (model EMDX) combines digital ink with innovative colour e-paper technology. This ultra-low consumption, lightweight and thin display acts as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional analogue and paper advertising materials, while providing the high visibility and functionality that businesses demand.
Utilizing advanced digital ink technology, EMDX operates at 0.00W when displaying static images and consumes significantly less power during image transitions compared to traditional digital signage, resulting in significant cost savings. The slim and lightweight design ensures easy installation, while the range of sizes - 13" (1,600 x 1,200), 25" (3,200 x 1,800), 32" QHD (2,560 x 1,440) and a 75" 5K (5,120 x 2,880) outdoor version - covers a variety of business needs. The color e-paper also includes a 5000mAh rechargeable battery, two USB-C ports for charging and data transfer, 8GB of memory, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support for enhanced connectivity.
For seamless device management, a dedicated smartphone app allows users to operate screens remotely, schedule wake and sleep times, and even set playlists with predefined intervals. Samsung VXT (Visual eXperience Transformation) further simplifies the content function with a feature exclusive to Samsung's colour e-paper.
Content management is simplified through the smartphone app and Samsung VXT, and enterprises can also use their own solutions through Tizen Enterprise APIs, which allow for easy integration with existing management systems.
In 2025, SmartThings Pro, Samsung's hyper-connected B2B management platform, brings enhanced AI and automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
The platform offers Interactive View, which uses AI to convert 2D floor plans into 3D images of business spaces. This 3D visualization makes it easier to understand and navigate spaces intuitively, allowing for easy management of connected devices.
SmartThings Pro also features advanced automation controls, allowing businesses to adjust settings - such as activation, volume and brightness - based on predetermined conditions, such as ambient lighting, room occupancy and hours of operation. These automated adjustments save time while ensuring that devices are optimized for their environment. When using SmartThings Pro on monitors, switching between content streams is just as seamless. That's because users can easily switch channels or input sources for an enhanced experience.
In addition, Samsung Smart Signage features CryptoCore, a FIPS 140-3 certified encryption module that protects sensitive authentication data for IoT connections and ensures that these connections between devices remain secure.
At ISE, Samsung also unveiled the Interactive Display 2025 (model WAFX-P), powered by Android OS 15 and featuring new AI capabilities that enhance education and collaboration opportunities.
The WAFX-P model provides AI capabilities, with Circle to Search, which allows users to easily search for images or translate text directly on the screen, and AI Summary, which automatically creates concise summaries of lectures or meetings.
Building on the success of last year's QPDX-5K 105'' model, which features a 21:9 aspect ratio optimised for video conferencing, the QHFX 115'' offers greater flexibility with its 16:9 aspect ratio and its multi-projection mode - supporting up to four windows - makes it ideal for viewing multiple content streams simultaneously. This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from meeting rooms to luxury retail stores that require premium large-scale displays.
QHFX also eliminates the visible boundaries typically associated with traditional Video Walls, creating a seamless display that engages viewers and enhances any environment. With QLED 4K resolution, 700 nits maximum brightness and Tizen OS 8.0, it ensures vibrant graphics and smooth performance. The QHFX integrates seamlessly with SmartThings Pro and Samsung VXT, while additional user-friendly features - such as a built-in handle for easy installation and VESA compatibility - provide businesses with flexibility and convenience
