Sparked: Facebook is testing a new video speed-dating app

Facebook desires to enter dynamically in the world of dating, that’s why it assigned to NPE (New Product Experimentation) team to create a test dating application.

Facebook, in order to stand out from other dating apps, decided to avoid all the usual features that are used extensively. As a result, there is neither a public profile, nor the ability to send a direct message to the person you are interested in, nor the Tinder swiping style. All you need is a Facebook account, nothing else.

Sparked is a new video speed-dating app. Initially, your first date will last four minutes and when you feel that you have found the chosen one, the app will provide you with the second appointment of 10 minutes. From that point, you will have the opportunity to exchange contact details with the partner of your choice, so that you can find him again in the digital world.

Based on the romance and the innocence that date can actually bring, in Sparked you will only be allowed to participate if you give an honest answer to one question " what makes you a kind dater".

You can the community of Sparked only through the official website, as an application for iOS and Android devices haven't been released yet. There is also the opportunity to choose if you want to date men, women, or nonbinary people. So, we expect to see the course of Sparked in the magical world of dating.
