The most notable inclusion is the triumphant return of Bulk Editing for the Queue. The streaming service unexpectedly stripped mass queue management from mobile platforms in early 2025, which triggered widespread backlash from core listeners. Admitting the strategic misstep, the company has reinstated multi-select capabilities for upcoming tracks, allowing power users to seamlessly adjust or purge entire blocks of music during social events.

Furthermore, iPhone owners subscribed to the paid tier will notice a drastic improvement in how data downloads are processed. The strict system architecture of Apple and its aggressive background app refresh limits have historically caused immense frustration, frequently freezing media downloads the moment a screen locked. Spotify has successfully bypassed these limitations with fully native Background Downloads for iOS. Music packages and lengthy podcast episodes now continue downloading uninterrupted when the app is minimized, supported by convenient real-time push notifications indicating exact download percentages.

Rounding out the Premium features is a tool dedicated to revitalizing stale listening sessions.
