Spotify's Car Thing is now available for all users

In April 2021, Spotify announced the Car Thing, a device that you can put in the car in case it does not have an infotainment system, so you can listen to music, podcasts, etc. through its speakers. It launched last October for select subscribers of the Spotify Premium package only, and is now launching a general launch in the US for $ 89.99.

The company found that users now listen to more songs via Spotify in their cars than in the past, while the user interface and voice commands are much easier to use via Car Thing compared to the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay service.

Also, Spotify notes that it has taken into account various requests from consumers in order to optimize the listening experience in the car and emphasizes the fact that it will constantly provide updates that will bring new features such as Night mode and Add to Queue.
