Google has officially lifted the curtain on its 10th-generation Pixel smartphones, introducing the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Following a wave of leaks over the past few weeks, the tech giant confirmed details of the new lineup, emphasizing refined design, enhanced camera systems, and cutting-edge AI-powered features.

While the Pixel 10 series maintains much of the exterior styling familiar from previous generations, the devices incorporate subtle upgrades that improve both aesthetics and functionality. Each model showcases a polished glass back, a satin-finish metal frame, and a redesigned camera bar that integrates seamlessly with the device’s overall design. The Pixel 10 measures 152.8 mm in height, 72 mm in width, and 8.6 mm in depth, weighing 204 grams. The Pixel 10 Pro matches these dimensions but tips the scales at 207 grams, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL is slightly larger at 162.8 mm in height, 76.6 mm in width, and 8.5 mm in depth, with a weight of 232 grams.

Display improvements are a key highlight of the new series. The Pixel 10 features a 6.3-inch Actua display capable of delivering up to 3000 nits of brightness. The Pro models also feature Actua displays, with the Pixel 10 Pro at 6.3 inches and the Pixel 10 Pro XL stretching to 6.8 inches. Google will offer the Pro series in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade, providing users with a variety of elegant choices.

Camera technology has received a significant upgrade across the entire Pixel 10 lineup. Each smartphone features a triple rear camera system designed to meet the needs of both casual photographers and professional content creators. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL come with a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens with Macro Focus, and a 48-megapixel 5x telephoto lens that supports Pro Res Zoom up to 100x, with optical quality preserved at 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, and 10x magnification. The Pixel 10 itself offers a 48-megapixel wide camera with Macro Focus, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto lens that supports Super Res Zoom up to 20x and optical quality at 0.6x, 1x, 5x, and 10x.

Under the hood, the Pixel 10 series is powered by Google’s new Tensor G5 system-on-chip, which delivers substantial improvements in both performance and efficiency. According to Google, the Tensor G5 offers up to 60 percent more powerful TPU capabilities and a 34 percent faster CPU on average compared to its predecessor, the Tensor G4. Built using TSMC’s 3 nm process node, the chip also provides improved energy efficiency. Google has highlighted the Tensor G5 as the first chip capable of running the latest Gemini Nano AI model, enabling a suite of new intelligent features including Magic Cue, Voice Translate, Call Notes with actions, and Personal Journal.

The Pixel 10 series also introduces new hardware and software integration for seamless user experience. All models support Pixelsnap, Google’s MagSafe-like magnetic charging technology, along with built-in Qi2 wireless charging. On the software side, these devices are the first to feature Android’s Material 3 Expressive design language, enhancing the visual and interactive experience across Google’s ecosystem.

Consumers eager to get their hands on the new devices can now pre-order the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, with starting prices set at $799, $999, and $1,199, respectively. In a promotional move, Google is offering a complimentary 12-month Google AI Pro subscription for buyers of the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Shipments are scheduled to begin on August 28, with pre-orders available through major retailers including Amazon.
