Star Wars Outlaws release date and new story trailer!

Ubisoft has published the official story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws. Massive Entertainment, the studio behind The Division and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, is currently developing an open-world action-adventure game. Watch the latest trailer above, which follows our protagonist, Kay Vess, across the cosmos. There are also some references to the original source material.

The story's primary antagonist has finally been exposed. Sliro is the boss of Zerek Besh, a new and strong criminal gang that is growing throughout the underworld of this universe. Despite Kay's thieving abilities, a botched job has resulted in Sliro placing a bounty on her head, and the only way out is to pull off one of the greatest heists in history.

To carry off this theft, you must first establish a reputation, gather resources, and find the appropriate people. To earn their assistance, players will have to deal with legendary underworld gangs such as the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan (a Massive and Lucasfilm original group), and Crimson Dawn. According to Ubisoft, players will explore "Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, Akiva, and the windswept savannah of Toshara," among other locations, throughout their mission in this open-world adventure.

In search of true freedom, the resourceful Kay and Nix will journey through the underworld and across the Outer Rim, taking on jobs from syndicates, facing off against intimidating foes, avoiding oppressive Imperial rule and recruiting a skilled outlaw crew in order to pull off one of the greatest heists the galaxy has ever seen.

Star Wars Outlaws will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Amazon Luna beginning August 30, 2024. The PC version will be available through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store, but not Steam. Those who purchase the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition will be able to start three days early on August 27th. The same early access period will be available to Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers alongside the complete game. There is also a pre-order bonus, the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack, which includes cosmetic items for Kay's ship and speeder.
