One of the biggest and most important productions of recent years in the gaming industry is Bethesda's Starfield, now owned by Microsoft. The game has been rightly described as the Skyrim of Space, both for its vast world and for its general gameplay philosophy, which is based very much on that of The Elder Scrolls games.

Starfield was first announced in 2018 and was originally scheduled to launch on November 11, 2022, but the company decided to postpone its release until the first half of 2023 and is now back with a new announcement that pushes the launch back to September 6, 2023. However, a separate event titled Starfield Showcase will be held on June 11, 2023 where Bethesda's newest release will be fully detailed.

As you can understand from the title, Starfield is set in Space and gamers will take charge of the latest team of explorers with the ability to play in first or third person perspective. The main premise involves Constellation, the team of explorers that you'll be able to fully customize through the plethora of options offered in the game. From their appearance (skin color, hair, body structure, etc.) to their abilities, as you'll be able to choose three that will evolve along the way to enhance their powers. Also, in the vast world of 100+ star systems and 1000+ planets you will find useful materials to craft your own weapons.

From the first gameplay of Starfield, the audience was impressed by the flight system and the developers hinted that many of the battles will also take place in space with fleets of spacecraft.

Starfield will be released on September 6, 2023 for Windows PC and Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play from day one of the launch.
