With a fresh content release for the messenger, Telegram carries on its monthly feature upgrade tradition. Improvements for presents, filters, reactions, and other features are included in the first update of 2025 (it was originally scheduled for late 2024, but Apple's review procedure delayed the release).

Telegram users may now upgrade digital gits to collectibles with distinctive looks, personalised effects, and other special benefits thanks to the most recent improvements. Collectibles can be sold on NFT marketplaces or transferred to other users. According to Telegram, more than 1,400 possible variations of the more than 20 current presents can be enhanced. Telegram Stars can be used to improve a gift.

Reactions are now supported in Telegram service messages. These include alerts for things like sweepstakes, profile photo changes, and phone calls.More filters have improved the power of Telegram search. "Private chats," "Group chats," "Channels," and other choices are now available to help you narrow down your search results.

The third-party verification process has made it possible for companies, organisations, and public personalities to obtain an additional layer of verification. Verified profiles can be given unique icons by third-party services, and profile descriptions can be updated with a more thorough verification statement. According to Telegram, this modification will lessen false information on the app and assist stop scams.

For added personalisation or a more minimalistic emoji-only appearance, Telegram Premium users can now add emojis to folder names. This adds to the more than thirty Premium-only features, which include voice-to-text, chat translation, quicker downloads, personalised emojis, and more.

In relation to Telegram Premium, the platform claims to have more than 12 million paying users. Together with additional revenue-generating tools like Telegram Stars and advertisements, these users enabled the messenger to turn a profit. Telegram's founder, Pavel Durov, stated that the network was currently profitable by the end of 2024.
