Ubisoft's popular racing game series The Crew will get a new episode later this year, as the company has officially unveiled The Crew Motorfest.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft's Ivory Tower, which describes Motorfest as the kick-off of a new era for the series that will of course, once again, build on the open world nature of its predecessors. This time, however, gamers will be melting their tires on the roads of O'ahu Island in the Hawaiian archipelago, so we can expect a spectacular world full of lush forests, volcanoes and beautiful coastal landscapes.

The creators have confirmed that hundreds of vehicles will be available, but it's unclear whether these include planes and sea vessels seen in The Crew 2. In addition, Ubisoft stressed that Motorfest will be a live service game that will regularly receive new content after launch.

In order to ensure the best possible quality, the company has invited more than 2000 trusted gamers who have extensive experience on the games in the series to participate in the closed testing of the Windows PC version. Those who play on Xbox and PlayStation game consoles will be given the same opportunity shortly before the official launch.

No exact release date has been announced, but expect The Crew Motorfest in 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5, as well as through Amazon Luna and Ubisoft+ subscription services. It's worth noting that on PCs it will only be available through the Epic Games Store.
