This month, EA and Maxis have been commemorating The Sims franchise's 25th anniversary, and the promotion's biggest highlight has now been revealed. Just as several reports indicated, The Sims, the game that started it all in 2000, and its big sequel, The Sims 2, have been completely re-released for current PCs.
PC players may now acquire The Sims Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection to restart their Sim management journeys..

The Sims Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection include the base game, as well as numerous expansions and Stuff packs.
While the gameplay and graphics have stayed unchanged, EA has upgraded the rendering engine, increased pixel resolution scaling for larger monitors, fixed several legacy bugs, and made both titles compatible with Windows 10 and 11. Even old save files from the classic versions will work.
The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection are now available for purchase on Steam, EA App, and the Epic Games Store. The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle, which includes both titles and other The Sims 4 bonuses, is also available.
