You can now utilize torrenting apps on your iPhone without jailbreaking it. Apple has prohibited torrenting apps from the App Store, believing they are mostly used for copyright infringement rather than peer-to-peer sharing of Linux ISOs. After a victorious struggle with Apple, third-party app stores are now allowed on iPhones in the EU. AltStore PAL now offers the iTorrent torrent client and the qBitControl remote client for qBittorrent. If you live in the EU, you can install these apps on your iPhone right now.

AltStore PAL is an open-source initiative led by Riley Testut, the designer of the popular Delta emulator, and Shane Gill, who oversees operations. The iPhone's first third-party app store launched with only two apps: Delta and Clip, a clipboard organizer. AltStore PAL now allows third-party apps to be installed directly on iPhones in the EU.

iTorrent is the first torrenting program for iPhone that doesn't require jailbreaking. qBitControl is a remote client for the qBittorrent torrenting program. It allows you to control your torrents from another device, but it cannot be used to torrent directly on your iPhone.

PeopleDrop is a social discovery software that connects you with others as you pass. The fourth software is UTM SE, which lets you to run virtual machines on your iPhone. It includes processor emulation and supports operating systems like Windows and Linux. This is the only new software that can also be downloaded from Apple's software Store.

The EU obliged Apple to allow third-party app stores on its products, although this decision is only applicable within the EU. This implies that, while the AltStore PAL app is simple to install in the EU, it is far more complicated outside of the EU. To continue using these apps, you must use Developer Mode on your iPhone, sideload them from a computer, and refresh them periodically.

It remains to be seen whether Apple will eventually approve these new apps for release in the official App Store. Apple has recently approved gaming emulators including the UTM SE PC emulator, indicating a willingness to approve previously refused apps in order to compete with third-party app stores. It remains to be seen whether allowing torrenting apps on the official App Store will be too much for Apple.
