The year ends with new features for the WhatsApp service, as Meta officially announced the addition of Accidental Delete, while it is already testing the PiP feature on iOS devices and the View Once feature on Android devices.
Starting with the first, Accidental Delete is aimed at those who may have deleted a message from their chats, but either did it by mistake, or wanted it to be deleted in general from all chatters and not just from their own account. From now on, they will have 5 seconds to restore the message and either leave it as it is, or choose to delete it for everyone. The Accidental Delete feature is already available on WhatsApp versions for Android and iOS devices.

As for PiP mode (Picture-in-Picture), the feature is being tested on iOS devices so that users can continue to see the progress of the video conference in a window while simultaneously using other applications.
Finally, the View Once feature is being prepared as another privacy protection measure, giving users the ability to send messages, photos and videos that are automatically deleted once the recipient sees them.
The latter two features are expected to become available to all users in early 2023.
