WhatsApp's development team finally launches the picture-in-picture feature for the service's app on iOS devices, which allows users to access their device and other apps without interrupting their video call.

The PiP feature arrived on iOS devices with the latest WhatsApp update to version 23.3.77, although it was officially announced by Meta late last December. In addition to this, WhatsApp users now gain the ability to add descriptions to the files they send through their chats, both on iOS and Android devices.

In addition, Meta is conducting tests to increase the limit of sending files (e.g. documents, photos) simultaneously from 30 to 100 on iOS devices as well, as it has opened up this feature on Android devices with the previous update of the app. However, it is not clear when the same will happen on iOS as well.

The ability to resume your video calls without being interrupted is particularly useful, as until recently the call would automatically pause as soon as you left the WhatsApp app. Now you'll be able to reply to other messages, surf the web, browse files on your device, etc. without being limited to the video call.

Besides, a few days ago, a few days ago, WhatsApp added emoji reactions to users' statuses, preview of links in statuses, the ability to limit the list of contacts who see them and the appearance of a ring around the profile picture to understand that a contact has changed the status.
