One of the main features that launched TikTok's popularity has been available on the YouTube platform for some time now, with YouTube Shorts proving to be a great move with trillions of views. However, Google is not left alone and is preparing new features that will give even more impetus to content creators.

In the coming weeks, the ability to use small video clips lasting 1 to 5 seconds will be unlocked, which can be "cut" by content creators from the billions of videos currently hosted on YouTube. These video clips can be remixed into the YouTube Shorts they are preparing, so you realize that the creators are getting a huge pool of material to experiment and express their creativity.

To date, creators have only been able to "cut" audio clips from other videos to embed in their YouTube Shorts. With the new feature, visual material can be added, as long as the creator of the original video allows the exploitation of his material for this purpose. Probably a few creators of the original videos will prevent this feature, as it is not excluded through the YouTube Shorts of other users to see the views of their videos go up significantly in case they go viral.

In addition, the YouTube development team announced that YouTube Shorts will soon be added to both the web version of the service and its tablet applications.
