'Baby Shark' becomes the first video to hit 10 billion views on YouTube

The music video for ‘Baby Shark’ has hit a new milestone after surpassing 10 billion views on YouTube. ‘Baby Shark’ is now the most-viewed video on the platform.

The 'Baby Shark' song was first released in June 2016 as part of the Korean band Pinkfong's song series for children and since then has become a global hit. On top of celebrity covers from the likes of James Corden and Bebe Rexha, "Baby Shark" has also enjoyed a 2019 tour, a viral dance challenge, a spot in Just Dance 2020, and a Nickelodeon TV show that premiered in 2021. Nickelodeon has not only renewed its "Baby Shark" show, but promised a feature-length movie.
