Google is releasing Android updates to help you simplify your day and get more done, whether on your phone, tablet, Wear OS wristwatch, or in an Android Auto-compatible vehicle.
Android Auto uses AI to intelligently summarize long texts or group discussions while driving. It will also recommend suitable answers and activities, allowing you to send a message, share your estimated arrival time, or initiate a call with a single tap.

Lookout Android's image captions feature provides AI-generated summaries of photographs, web images, and texts. This function, designed in collaboration with the blind and low-vision groups, is now available internationally in English.
Lens in Maps now has improved screen reader support, allowing for easier exploration of adjacent locations like as ATMs, restaurants, and transport stops. You may now point your phone's camera at your surroundings and TalkBack will read out loud the location's information, such as business hours, rating, and directions.
Google Docs markups allow you to add handwritten annotations from your Android phone or tablet using a finger or pen. With a variety of marking options to pick from, such as different pen colors and highlighters, reading papers and offering input is quick, versatile, and straightforward.

The output switcher on Android's home screen already allows you to simply switch between your devices while playing YouTube Music, whether it's your phone speaker, headphones, smart speakers, or television. You can now do the same with Spotify. When playing music on Spotify, the output switcher now displays Spotify Connect devices.
The updated Fitbit app now includes Health Connect, which integrates data from popular wearables and applications such as AllTrails, Oura Ring, and MyFitnessPal to provide a more comprehensive view of your health. In the Fitbit app on your Android phone, go to the You tab to see data from connected apps alongside your Fitbit data. In addition, the Today page displays data from Health Connect-compatible apps such as exercise, steps, calories burnt, floors climbed, and distance traveled.

Wear OS watches now support Google Wallet passes, allowing users to access boarding passes, event tickets, gym memberships, loyalty cards, and more from their wrist. Select which passes to hide or display so they are ready to utilize when you need them.

Google Maps for Wear OS provides public transit instructions, allowing you to check your wrist to ensure you catch your bus, train, or ferry without using your phone. Look up departure timings on your smartwatch, and then follow compass-guided navigation directions to your destination. If you prefer to use your phone, you can reflect directions to your watch and navigate hands-free.
