Google Meet adds a new feature to support up to 25 different people in a single meeting. The update will also introduce new safety features in an effort to avoid meetings being co-opted or disrupted.

From the main room, you can choose co-hosts for each Breakout Room, though it’s worth being selective with who you choose. Meeting resources, such as recordings, attendance records, polling, and QA reports, will be shared only with the main host. If necessary, that person will be able to share the reports with others.

To use co-hosting, you’ll need to have the new Host Management toggle switched on in the Settings menu for each meeting. That falls under the “Host controls” section. It’ll be available for Business Standard, Business Plus, Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, and all Educational editions of Meet; it’s supported on desktop, iOS, and Android.

Additionally, Chat Lock, Present Lock and the and the ability to mute all users is expanding to all Google Meet users. All Google Meet users will be able to end the meeting for all participants, though it will only be supported on desktop and iOS initially.
