Instagram Notes are now available worldwide

Since last December it was announced that the Notes feature would be added to Instagram and now it's time for its global launch, as the head of the popular service Adam Mosseri officially revealed on Twitter.

For those who don't know, Notes are small texts of up to 60 characters that hover above a user's profile picture and automatically disappear after 24 hours. Essentially it's an addition similar to status updates on other services, just in the case of Instagram they are ephemeral and don't stay there until the user changes them.

Instagram Notes supports graphics, symbols and emojis, and Adam Mosseri mentioned a global launch starting today, but possibly some users will have to wait a few days until the option appears.
