Apple has released iOS 17.2, which includes a new Journal app, support for Qi2 charging, spatial recording on the iPhone 15 Pro series, and changes to the Camera, Action Button, and Weather app. The latest update is 1.49GB in size and is available for the iPhone Xs and later handsets. Because Apple is using a staged rollout, some customers may have to wait a little longer for the update to be available on their device.

Apple's latest health and wellbeing app, the Journal, encourages users to reflect on their day and practice appreciation. The software may leverage data from your phone, such as places, images, or exercises, to create "Moments" that assist you with writing suggestions.

Apple is also changing the iPhone 15 Pro series' Action Button by adding a Translate option toggle. The iPhone 15 Pro now has the ability to record Spatial Video, which will be supported by the Apple Vision Pro. Apple also touts faster telephoto focusing speed on the 15 Pro series.

Messages have a catch-up feature that lets you see the first unread message in a chat by clicking an arrow. Apple also provided additional sticker and Memoji personalization choices.

New widgets, wind map snapshots, and precipitation quantities for rain and snow have been added to the Weather. Some of the more under-the-radar changes in iOS 17.2 include Qi2 charger compatibility for iPhone 13 and higher, wireless charging adjustments in some cars, and AirDrop enhancements.
