Meta announced that it is now integrating multiplayer games into the Facebook Messenger platform, giving users the ability to play 14 games with their friends during video calls in this initial launch.

This feature is available on all versions of the platform (web, Android, iOS) without the need to install any extra software. The 14 games include some great titles such as Words with Friends, Mini Golf FRVR, Card Wars and Exploding Kittens, and all of them support gameplay of 2 people or more (the limit depends on the game).

All multiplayer games are optimized for Facebook Messenger with easy interface and ratings. All you have to do is start a video call, tap the Group Mode button and then the Play icon to see the available games.

The company stresses that many more multiplayer games will be added in the coming months, which is why it is working closely with developers to give them the necessary tools to promote their games on the platform. It's quite an interesting development because just a few months ago Meta had moved to remove the Facebook Gaming app.
