Skype is admittedly not as popular as it once was, but that doesn't mean Microsoft has given up on the project. The company tried about 5 years ago to refresh the communication service with a radical redesign, but it is a fact that the public did not welcome the new features with much enthusiasm.
Years have passed and Microsoft is once again trying to revive Skype and brings a lot of changes both to the user interface and to its functions. The company characterizes the new user experience as enjoyable and fun thanks to new illustrations, new emoticons, better performance and improved reliability.
Especially for the version of Skype for mobile devices we see more vivid colors throughout the user interface, animated emoticons, classic elements from the good old Skype, and in general an experience based on the philosophy of other modern messaging platforms in order not to look outdated to the end user.
Apart from the design changes, the new Skype for Android and iOS gets the same video conferencing experience as the desktop application. You can choose an open theme for the calls, choose a background and enjoy unrepeatable stability even in group calls of up to 100 people. Excellent integration of the TruVoice function that offers you real-time dubbing of conversations and even free for all users!
Finally, the new Today tab has been added with articles and stories from trusted news sources.
