The endless battle between two big rivals, Apple and Google, to persuade users to change camp continues with one more move from the latter. Google has announced that it is upgrading its Switch to Android app, which allows you to transfer your data from iPhone to a new Android device with ease.

Until recently, the Switch to Android only worked for Pixel smartphones made by Google, but from now on it will be available on all Android smartphones running Android 12. Undoubtedly, this loosens the hands of thousands of iPhone users who may be looking forward to go to one of the latest flagships of Android makers.

To make the jump to the other camp, the iPhone user will need to install the Switch to Android app on his device and then connect the two devices with a cable. You will then be presented with options for transferring data which include some applications, contacts, photos, videos, call history, music and messages, but not his accounts. Also, for all the photos and videos stored in iCloud you will need to give one more permission to complete the transfer.

It is clearly a very positive step so that the user can change the ecosystem whenever he wants without thinking too much.
