On June 3, 2025, TikTok officially launched TikTok for Artists, a comprehensive new platform designed to empower musicians and their teams with valuable data and tools to enhance their presence and success on TikTok. This global release follows months of testing and aims to provide artists with an all-in-one music insights hub, helping them better understand how their music and content perform on the platform, connect with fans, and optimize their promotional efforts.

TikTok for Artists offers daily-updated analytics dashboards that deliver detailed, actionable insights on multiple aspects of an artist’s TikTok activity. Artists and their teams can track song performance metrics, including the number of views, posts, and creator engagements per track. Additionally, the platform provides in-depth post performance data such as views, likes, comments, shares, and completion rates, offering a granular look at how audiences interact with their content.

A standout feature of the platform is the follower insights tool, which reveals demographic details about an artist’s fanbase, including self-declared gender, age, and language. This information allows artists to tailor their content and marketing strategies to better resonate with their audience. To support users, TikTok for Artists also includes step-by-step guides to TikTok’s various tools and features, as well as additional resources and support to maximize the platform’s effectiveness.

Alongside the launch of TikTok for Artists, TikTok introduced the new Pre-Release tool, a self-service feature designed for album promotion. This tool enables artists to create pre-release campaigns that allow fans to pre-save upcoming albums directly to their Spotify or Apple Music libraries. Once the album is officially released, fans gain immediate access on their preferred streaming services, providing a seamless promotional pipeline from TikTok to music platforms.

Tracy Gardner, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Business Development, emphasized the platform’s role in transforming music promotion: “TikTok is already well known for being the world’s best platform for music discovery and promotion, and with the launch of TikTok for Artists, all tiers of artists will gain insights on TikTok that they can use to take their careers to a whole new level.” Gardner highlighted that the platform was created to offer transparent, useful, and actionable data to help artists deepen their engagement with the TikTok community and accelerate their careers both on and off the platform.

Artists who have already used the platform express strong support. Jordan Adetunji, with 640,000 followers, called TikTok for Artists a “game changer” thanks to the extensive information it provides about his music, followers, and how his songs are used in posts. He also praised the ability to share access with his team, enabling coordinated campaign planning. Similarly, Australian artist Cyril Riley, an early tester with 750,000 followers, remarked on the platform’s essential role in his daily work, allowing him and his team to continuously monitor account analytics in an industry that evolves rapidly.

Currently, TikTok for Artists is available to all musicians with a certified TikTok Artist Account. Artists can grant access to their management teams and record labels, facilitating collaborative promotional efforts. The platform is live in a wide range of countries including Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina, with plans for further expansion soon.

This launch marks TikTok’s clear commitment to supporting musicians in a data-driven and connected digital environment. By integrating detailed analytics with promotional tools like the Pre-Release feature, TikTok strengthens its position as a vital platform for music discovery and career development, helping artists harness the power of the app’s vast and engaged community to grow their reach and influence worldwide.
