WhatsApp will keep chats archived even after new messages

In WhatsApp, if you want to hide messages from your list and you don’t want to delete them permanently, you can archive them. However, if the other person in the archived chat sends a new message, then it will automatically unarchive itself.

WhatsApp has announced a new setting that will give users the option to handle their archived messages. Users will now be able to keep archived messages hidden or muted, or if they want to keep the current behavior of the app.
