Xiaomi has officially pulled the curtain back on its latest additions to the T-series: the Xiaomi 15T and the Xiaomi 15T Pro. Positioned just below the company’s upcoming flagships, these new models aim to strike a balance between premium features and more accessible pricing. Both devices step up in size, battery life, and camera capabilities compared to last year’s 14T series, with the Pro version boasting a standout telephoto upgrade.

The most noticeable change this year is the screen. Both the 15T and 15T Pro now feature expansive 6.83-inch OLED displays, a notable jump from the 6.67-inch panels used in the 14T line. Despite the larger footprint, the new designs manage to be thinner, while also housing bigger 5,500mAh batteries. This combination makes them appealing for users who want more screen real estate and longer use without sacrificing comfort in hand.

Xiaomi 15T Pro: Built for Performance and Photography

At the heart of the 15T Pro sits the Dimensity 9400+, a chipset that may not be MediaTek’s very latest but still delivers more power than most users will ever require. It comes paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a range of storage options that go all the way up to 1TB, ensuring plenty of space for apps, photos, and videos. To maintain consistent performance, Xiaomi has integrated its 3D IceLoop cooling system, while software duties are handled by the brand-new HyperOS 3.

The display is a showpiece in itself. Measuring 6.83 inches, it delivers a resolution of 1,280 x 2,772 pixels and peaks at 3,200 nits brightness. While that’s a slight dip compared to last year’s Pro, it still ensures excellent visibility outdoors. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for high-quality video, alongside stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for immersive sound. For smooth scrolling and gaming, the Pro’s panel pushes up to 144Hz refresh rate.

On the camera front, the 15T Pro sees a significant leap. The main sensor is the familiar 50MP Light Fusion unit from OmniVision, backed by optical image stabilization. The real upgrade lies in the new 50MP telephoto lens, which now stretches to a 5x zoom with a 115mm focal length—almost doubling the range compared to last year’s 2.6x option. A 12MP ultra-wide and a 32MP front-facing camera round out the system, giving users flexibility for every shooting scenario.

Video recording is equally robust. All rear cameras can shoot in HDR10+ at 4K resolution, while the main sensor takes it further with 8K recording at 30fps. Videographers will also appreciate the 10-bit Log mode at 4K, allowing advanced color grading workflows.

The Pro’s battery offers 90W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, with Xiaomi promising over 15 hours of continuous use on a single charge. Physically, the device trims down to 7.96mm while retaining a solid 210g weight. Protection remains strong with Gorilla Glass 7i, a fiberglass back, and an IP68 rating that now guarantees survival up to three meters underwater. Connectivity also gets an upgrade with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an offline communication system that enables phone-to-phone chats up to 1.9km apart.

Xiaomi 15T: A Balanced Alternative

For those who don’t need the full muscle of the Pro, the regular Xiaomi 15T offers a compelling alternative. Powered by the Dimensity 8400-Ultra, it still carries the same cooling system and 12GB of RAM, with storage capped at 512GB. The display is nearly identical to the Pro’s, maintaining HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, though its refresh rate tops out at 120Hz—a compromise most users won’t notice in daily use.

Camera hardware differs slightly. The main sensor is now the Light Fusion 800, another 50MP module with optical stabilization, while the telephoto lens provides a more modest 2x zoom. Like the Pro, it retains the 12MP ultra-wide and 32MP selfie camera. Video recording supports HDR10+ at 4K, and while there’s no 8K option, it still includes the 10-bit Log mode at 4K for creative flexibility.

The 15T carries the same 5,500mAh battery but charges at a slower 67W wired speed, with no wireless charging option. Its design is slimmer at 7.5mm and weighs a lighter 194g. While Xiaomi hasn’t specified the frame material, it is likely plastic, but the device keeps the same IP68 water resistance rating as the Pro. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and offline communication up to 1.3km.
