Apple rolls out iOS 26 with fresh design and powerful new features

Apple’s long-anticipated iOS 26 update is officially landing on iPhones worldwide, delivering a major refresh that blends design innovation with practical tools. On the enterprise side, Apple is updating its Mobile Device Management (MDM) framework across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The changes are aimed at making device migration smoother, particularly for organizations using tools like Microsoft Intune. Microsoft has emphasized that the new MDM Migration capability reduces friction by allowing devices to switch management solutions without needing factory resets or manual re-enrollment, a move that could save IT teams significant time and resources.

Despite the focus on design and enterprise tools, Apple is also leaning heavily on Apple Intelligence—the company’s suite of AI-driven features. In iOS 26, Apple Intelligence powers capabilities such as Live Translation, bridging communication gaps more seamlessly than before. However, some users are still waiting for Apple to deliver on its promise of a more advanced version of Siri. The company teased a smarter, more conversational assistant last year, but so far, the upgraded Siri has not yet appeared in this release.
