According to a tweet by app researcher Alessandro Palluzi, Instagram is testing new timeline settings, in order to let users choose which posts they want to see in the main feed.
A screenshot shared by Paluzzi shows what the menu with the timeline options will look like. The current Instagram feed includes posts from the accounts users follow and recommended posts from other accounts.
Users will be able to select whether they want to view only posts from accounts they follow or posts from accounts they have selected as favorites with this new option. So, the options are “Home”, “Following”, and “Favorites”.
It should be mentioned that we’re not too sure what “Following” is. Maybe it could be where users will see posts of people who they follow and who are following them back.
